Understanding Chronic Sinusitis
Sinusitis is an inflammation, or swelling, of the tissue lining the sinuses, but when these symptoms persist after 12 weeks or more it is referred to as chronic sinusitis. Your sinuses are normally filled with air, but when they become blocked and filled with fluid, germs can grown and cause an infection.
